I knew what I wanted to do w/ the ingredients & sketched something. Now, the problem w/ a sketch, you draw everything the size you need it to be to 'fit'.
I redid this deceptively simple bracelet a total of five times....... first nest next to second nest.
The first bracelet was too big so I started w/ redoing the nest.I never planned on restringing the pearls, but the knot on the enameled washer had loosened. Since the pearls side was too large it was a matter if fit.
Pearls, strung/knotted twice, nest made twice & the strung beads restrung 3 times, (does that makes 7 instead of 5? I forgot the nest & one of the beads restringing).
The final result.
Thanks again to our hostess, Lori Anderson.

ReplyDeleteI really like the final product. Nice to know I'm not the only person who's had to re-do a jewelry project multiple times.
ReplyDeleteLovely bracelet! I envy people who sketch out their designs because I figure they have it all planned out and don't have to change it over and over to make everything work (like I always have to do). But I guess I was wrong. LOL!! Your finished piece is great. I love it!!

ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like it was worth the do overs, as it is up there in the "best in the hop" so far! You put all of it together in such a harmonious design, such talent. I am glad to have hopped here :~)
ReplyDeleteVery nice piece and as much as you might not like having to "redo", it was good for me to know that I'm not the only one that rethinks and has a redo now and then! Great job in the long run!
ReplyDeleteI think your efforts paid off nicely, your bracelet is just as lovely as can be!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little story this bracelet tells! And all your adjustments and redo's were well worth the effort -- that's a terrific piece!

ReplyDeleteWhen you showed your soup, my immediate thought was how sweet it was. And, you made a sweet bracelet to go with it. I hate that you had such a rough time getting it made, but I do hope you think the end result was worth it. . .I do.
ReplyDeleteVery nice ... the bracelet is beautiful!!!
