End of An Era

I've just heard from my sister & sister in law by text  message & phone call that our drive~in  has burnt to the ground. The wooden screen structure was not insured(wood= uninsurable) & will probably not be rebuilt. Such sad news.

  1. Aw, this is so sad! Ironically I was just thinking this morning about the old sign to a drive in theater near Ocean City,MD. My Dad remembers going there in the early 60's. It is over run and I wanted to capture a picture before it's torn down one day. And then here is this picture! Drive-ins are so hard to find nowadays. :-(

  2. Drive In Movies evoke so many nostalgic feelings for people, I am sure this one will be missed.

A good solid strike on the hammer helps me get my imprint deep,I hold my hammer close to the end.

  3. I haven't been there for years! I did not know the Admiral Twin was still open. Sad to watch the fire on tv.
