I had my niece & nephew w/ me when my buttons came, so I can't say for sure who was more excited to open them. So excited in fact, I forgot to take pictures of everything before I started making my pieces!My neice claimed the first set of buttons, telling me she wanted a hair clip w/ one of them. I countered w/ a matching ring using, the biggest button of the set. |

When I saw this button I couldn't believe how similar it was to one I had used earlier in the year. I decided to make a ring for a 'set'

ReplyDeleteWhat a great button swap post! I do believe you created the only hair clip - that I've seen so far visiting the blogs. It is just so sweet and I know your niece loves it! And I agree - rings were the way to go with the other buttons - what an amazing coincidence that the carved button happened to match your necklace so well! The bird button really is special...I can see why you are waiting on that one to see what direction to take. I know it will take center stage and really make a beautiful piece of jewelry!
